Oracle confirmed a weather-related power outage at one of its data centers over the weekend, causing disruptions for TikTok users in the U.S. The incident, attributed to severe winter storms, temporarily hampered platform functionality, particularly content uploads. Engineering teams from both companies are working to resolve lingering technical issues.

Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced an investigation into whether TikTok violated state regulations by allegedly suppressing content critical of former President Trump. The probe follows TikTok's recent ownership restructuring, which shifted majority control to U.S. investors under parent company ByteDance.
